Congratulations are in order for two undergraduate research assistants whose independent research projects were awarded a Provost's Undergraduate Research Initiative award from the MSU College of Social Science. This award will provide funding for their work.
Sam Metz is our first awardee! His research will answer the question, "did COVID-19 school closures impact the school-level risk and mental health of youth adjudicated for a sexual offense?"
Riley Starr is our other awardee! Her research will answer the question, "are there gender biases in juvenile risk assessment tools?"
We look forward to seeing the results!
