Partnership with Phoenix Court for Sex Trafficked Youth

The ADJust lab is excited to be a part of a new initiative in Ingham County, which provides treatment for youth who are involved in sex trafficking.

Federal law mandates that youth under 18 who are engaged in commercial sex acts are considered victims of sex trafficking-- even in the absence of coercion, and regardless of a state's age of consent. However, many child-serving systems have neither established nor tested explicit mechanisms for treatment tailored to youth victims of sex trafficking. We are excited to be at the cutting edge of this research through our partnership with the newly-established Phoenix Court.
