Congratulations are in order for graduate student Erica, who successfully defended her Masters Thesis, "Examining the maturity gap: Youth self-perceived physical development and delinquency." Her research found that youth who perceived themselves to be more mature than their peers were more likely to engage in delinquency, providing support for Moffitt's developmental taxonomy. Erica is currently working toward her doctorate in Criminal Justice.
